SWISS MOTH OPEN CUP Arnaud Psarofaghis winner of the Swiss Moth Open Cup ! Geneva, 26th October 2008 – Arnaud Psarofaghis won the Swiss Moth Open Cup at the Société Nautique de Genève ahead of Mikis Psarofaghis and Frédéric Duvoisin. Florence Beal, one the 3 women participating in the competition, finishes at the 4th place, while the first foreigner, the German Harald Steiner, took the 7th place. Arnaud Psarofaghis won all three regattas of the Swiss Moth Open Cup this weekend. “It was a fantastic competition. I would have liked to sail more races.” says Arnaud Psarofaghis that finished in 4th place at the last World Championships in Weymouth in July. He is now preparing for the Australian Championships in January 2009. “Geneva Lake is a great place to sail the foiler moth with its complex wind conditions and flat waters”. Genève, le 26 octobre 2008 – Arnaud Psarofaghis, déjà Champion d'Europe et 4ème aux derniers Championnats du Monde, gagne le Championnat de série de Moths à Foils à la Société Nautique de Genève, devant Mikis Psarofaghis et Frédéric Duvoisin. What a beautiful day for racing. We could finish 3 races ! Foiling and non foiling races where completed. The north wind of 5 to 8 kts was tricky and quite demanding for every body ! Arnaud Psarophagis is leading, than Mikis, his cousin pointing at the second place. Florence Beal is 3rd !  We will have our AGM in a few minutes ! Later on some other news ! Communiqué de presse SWISS MOTH OPEN CUP Près de 20 participants   attendus au Cha mpionnat de série de Moths à Foils ce week-end à la Société Nautique de Genève !   Genève, le 22 octobre 2008 –   Les samedi 25 et dimanche 26 octobre prochain se déroulera le Championnat de série de Moths à Foils à la Société Nautique de Genève. Plus de 20 bateaux-papillons sont prêts à survoler les eaux du Lac Léman dans ce qui sera le plus grand rassemblement en Suisse de ces engins qui représentent le futur du bateau à voile, entre objet volant et flottant. Plusieurs champions d'Europe et champions suisses seront de la partie !   Les bateaux à foils sont l'avenir, et ils sont de plus en plus nombreux sur le Lac Léman. On a pu le constater au début du mois avec le lancement du catamaran à foils SYZ&CO qui s'est déroulé en grande pompe avec Alain Prost comme parrain, les bateaux qui volent sont tendance. Ce week-end, la tendance se confirme avec l'organisation de la Swiss Moth Open ...
