Change of dates !
We just got confirmation that on 2./3. june there will be a race held by Yacht Club Ascona together with the Class A.
Note the change of the date, as there will be the Class A, no more minimum participation is needed. A big advantage.

News 2012
Yesterday the committee met to finalize the Class News and preparing the mail.
All members will get the info by post or got it already by email if not, check on the download page.
Additional, I am working on the web to check links/contend for errors.
New features are added, there is a download page, with all documents to download, including news ect. and a new Video gallerie with a collection of Youtube movies of Moth sailing.

AGM 2011 - Minutes
Dear members,
as the committee of the IMCA Switzerland changed, we are doing a lot of work to update and modify all the members-details, as well as the mailing/web-content.
In future we would like to communicate more to keep everybody up to date and help to develop the class.

Update from the IMCA President - 2012 Worlds & Rule Changes
finally the dates for the Worlds 2012 in Campione are confirmed: 18-26 august with the Italian Championships on 16th-17th. Apparently Zhik will be again the main sponsor of the event.
Update in the Swiss IMCA,
Philip Käsermann took over the lead as the new class president and Fabien Froesch is the new treasurer.
Planning for the 2012 is running and still looking for a venue to host the class championships, any ideas? let us know!
In april the Port Camargue training camp will be organised again, eastern early saison opening in the south. reserve your dates and join us.
France IMCA will launch its Nationals end of April 2012 in Quiberon.
From 28april to 1.mai races are scheduled. Some Geneva boats will be there, anyone else?

Syz & Co Speed Week
The Speed-week finished today with a victory for the Moth class.
The fastest three 500m runs were sailed by Mach2 Sailors from Geneva.
1. Philip Käsermann, 22.58kts
2. Fabien Froesch, 21.8kts
3. Jean-Pierre Ziegert, 21.6kts
The wind conditions were really difficult and only on Thursday westerly winds with 10-18kts allowed good foiling and a start of some Windsurfers.
In the game involved were as well a 18footer, 49ers, 20'Nacara and M2/M1 Catamarans.
Thanks to the sponsors for the price money and Société Nautique de Genève for hoisting the event.
