GENEVA FOILING GRAND PRIX

This past week-end was held in Geneva the first Swiss regatta of the season. The Société Nautique de Genève was hosting the Geneva Foiling Grand Prix. A race opened to many different classes of small foiling boats. We are happy that the Moth class was the biggest group with 9 boats on the start line.

The weather delivered throughout the entire event. Strong north-easterly wind on the Saturday permitted 2 races to be completed before the wind got too strong and the wave too big for safe racing.

Race resumed on the Sunday morning were the Bise was still prevailing. Albeit being a bit weaker for the 2 first races of the day, it eventually picked up and we were able to complete 3 more races. Bringing the total to 7 over the week-end. Strong wind conditions, sunny weather and a great atmosphere were the main components of a successful event!!

Congratulation to Arnaud Psarofaghis for taking the win, followed by the Rigot brothers with Fabrice in second and Guillaume in third !!
